Description
I know it’s been said a million times, and it’s kind of cheesy at this point, but this guitar really is an amazing piece of history! This is a single owner 1965 Fender Stratocaster. It was purchased at Sherman Clay Music in Sacramento in 1966 when the original owner was 14 years old and used for a single his group “The Night” recorded in at Bill Race Studios in 1967 after they won a local battle of the bands. The single can be heard on Youtube. The group name is “The Night” with songwriting credit to Garza/Ano (Ano is the last name of this guitar’s original owner.) the songs are To Realize My Mind/Too Much Loneliness.
This instrument is in very nice all original condition minus the screws holding on the tremolo cavity cover. It even has the original 3-way switch! It has some dings here and there but is overall in amazing shape for its age. It plays very nicely with low action and a dead straight neck. The truss rod functions very well. The frets have medium wear (see photos) Overall this is a very fine one owner Stratocaster in amazing shape for its age. Comes with original case, manual, fender clear body guard, and the strap that was purchased with the guitar. The guitar, strap, and body guard can be seen in the photo of the original owner on stage playing a 4th of July gig (also his birthday) in 1967.
A few unique features that make this guitar cool are the gorgeous grain on the headstock and the nice wide neck.
