Description
Just in from the son of the original owner! This beautiful 1964 Martin D-28 bears all the hallmarks of a guitar that has been played, but well taken care of over the years. The original finish has lovely moderate wear that perfectly cements its vintage pedigree in place, but does not look excessive or shabby. There is one repaired crack on the bottom right section of the top as well as one very small hairline split on the upper back that has not had any repair but that is very tight and stable. The bridge has a crack along the bridge pins that is stable, but it would be prudent to have a repair done on it eventually. There is a hairline split on the back of the headstock emanating from a tuner screw and going down to the volute. This has been professionally repaired and stabilized. The guitar plays great and is LOUD! It has a sweet singing tone with tons of clarity and bass. The guitar comes with the original green lined hard case. Overall this is a very nice all original example with some moderate play wear and a great opportunity to get a fantastic D-28 at a great price.
