Description
Just in from the son of the original owner from West Virginia is this fantastic early-mid 1930s Gibson L-7! (The FON is not legible as it has faded over the years.)
This is quite a nice example and is completely original. The pickguard is missing but otherwise the guitar is all there and in very nice original condition. It even comes with the original hard case!
The guitar plays nicely and has a very straight neck with no hump or dramatic fallaway. The truss rod functions as it should. There are two hairline cracks, one near the fretboard extension and one under the tailpiece. Both are in rather discreet spots and I’m told they have been there for a very long time and haven’t worsened. Still, the guitar has been humidified since it came into the shop and will ship with a free humidifier in the case.
The guitar has some cool history as it was played in local WV groups on the radio back in the 30s and 40s. It is now ready for some more old time or jazz performance with its new owner! Jump on it today!
